Hello friends! I am guest designing for Scrapping for Less using the June Flavor of the Month Card Kit. The theme is Under the Sea Babies. There are 4 different mini collections. Each contains 6 papers, a stamp set, and a variety of embellishments and stickers. I love how well everything coordinates together. The stamps can easily be used with any of the mini collections.

I post a lot of 6x6 Paper Pad Tutorials and many people feel quite overwhelmed with the idea of using an entire 6x6 paper pad for card making. Trying out a monthly kit, could definitely make things easier. You could start by using just one of the mini collections since it only has 6 sheets of paper. And it's perfect since the stamps and embellishments have already been coordinated for you. Leaving you with more time to simply create.

I made a total of 10 cards using the June kit. I still have plenty of leftovers to make many more cards. Watch the video below or click HERE to see it on YouTube.

Here are close up pictures of the cards I made, including sketches and measurements. For sketches that don't already include measurements, I figure them out on my own, for what works for me. All of my cards are A2 size. Go HERE to see my video explaining how I determine card sketch measurements. All cards are made using the Scrapping for Less June Flavor of the Month card kit.

  9. I was so happy to see you were designing for Scrapping for Less again! I was thinking about them just before your video showed up. I love you cards--the first one (love that background) and your watercolored octopus were my favorites but they were all really great. Someday soon I will have enough money to buy all the great kits you showcase. :-)

    1. Thanks Jennifer! It's fun to get the opportunity to guest design for so many wonderful companies. Monthly card kits are a really good value. But there are so many available, it'd be hard to choose only one. :)

  10. Love this, Kristie! I really enjoy when you use stamps on your cards, and these kits look like a lot of fun. I do have a question for you... I've been watching a lot of your older videos and you use a lot of 12 x 12 card stock as mats. Where do you get it? I am just wondering what weight you have found best when doing a lot of layering. Thanks!

    1. Thank you, Tricia! I appreciate your kindness.
I do use quite a bit of solid colored cardstock since I love adding layers to my cards. I generally purchase individual sheets from Joanns when it goes on sale. I'm not sure what the weight is though. I use Bazzill, Coredinations, Darice and other brands. I don't really have a preference. I just look for the colors that best match the paper collection. :)
