Cards in Envy - Fire or Rain!

Hello friends! It's time for a new card challenge over at Cards in Envy. The theme is Fire or Rain! Create a card featuring either fire or rain OR a card using fire or rain colors.

It's been awhile since I colored the images from Lawn Fawn's Out of This World stamp set. I thought the little rocket with the fire exhaust would be perfect for the challenge. And it's always fun to create a space scene using Brusho powder.

  2. Kristie,
You do such a great job and make it look so easy. I'm just getting started into making cards and want to know what to do with the inside of the card. Do you add cardstock on the inside and then write or stamp your message The backside of the card seems flimsy compared to the front decorated side. I would appreciate some tips. Thanks!

    1. Thank you, Jan! I appreciate your kindness. For the inside of the cards I personally give out, I add a sentiment and sometimes a thin strip of pattern paper. I don't usually add the sentiment until I know who the recipient will be though. I also stamp my personal 'Handmade by Kristie Marcotte" on the back of the card. I use heavy cardstock (100# weight) for my card bases so my cards don't every feel flimsy. I know a lot of crafters do add a liner of paper to the inside of their cards.

  3. Great galaxy background! I would really like to know how you work with Brusho - I haven't tried it. Love this card and the little flames coming out of the rocket. And I see you used a peel off!! I can't wait to get some of those!

    1. Thank you, Jennifer! I am not a Brusho expert. But I do love using it to make lovely backgrounds. The black is my absolute favorite. I just had to add a little Peel off to the card. I LOVE them! :)

    1. Thank you, Sherry! I only know how to make backgrounds using Brusho. And the black is my favorite one since it has so many colors in the mix. :)
