Cards in Envy - Something New!

Hello friends! The new card challenge over at Cards in Envy is 'Something New'. Create a card using a new technique, new paper, new stamp, etc.

For my card, I used a new stamp set from Reverse Confetti called Mod Floral Stack. It's a fun set that can be used to create a variety of images. I used 2 different sizes of the petal stamps to make a butterfly. I used some yellow ink to add a touch of color to the stitched rays background. Then I made the butterfly antennae using one of the leftover Peel Offs from the August Love from Lizi kit. I added some black Nuvo drops to the ends of the antennae and some clear glitter Nuvo drops randomly around the butterfly.

Be sure to check out the rest of the Cards in Envy design team's cards. I'd love for you to play along with our card challenge. Just remember to keep your card fairly flat so it fits nicely in an envelope.

Thanks for visiting my blog today.
I appreciate your kindness and support!

  1. What a lovely butterfly, Kristie. Excellent idea to use those sparkly strips from Love from Lizi to make the antennae. I like the detail in the background, too. Helps the butterfly to pop! Wonderful card. :)

    1. Thank you, Jeanne! I really like this new stamp set from Reverse Confetti. And I wish I had more of the Peel Offs. I may need to place an order just to buy a bunch. :)
