Pink & Main Beach Babe - 36 cards from one 6x6 paper pad

Hello! I can't believe summer is almost here. My kids still have a few more weeks of school, but I know most of the country is already on summer vacation. Summertime usually means less crafty time for me while I try to keep my kiddos busy. But I'm hoping to sneak in a little time once in awhile.
With summer right around the corner, I figured it was the perfect time to use the Beach Babe collection by Pink & Main. It's full of bright, cheerful colors and graphic designs. There are a lot of busy patterns, so I used solid cardstock to help balance out the cards.
The paper collection is definitely on the feminine side and I'll be donating many of the cards to a local charity. I focused on general and birthday sentiments and made sure to keep the dimension down so the charity won't have to pay any extra postage.

I used my 6x6 Paper Pad Tutorial and one paper pad to make 36 cards.

Because it takes many hours to use up a 6x6 paper pad, this video has been sped up 7 times. The real time recording was just over 4 1/2 hours, not including any of my planning, prep, or die cutting time. Watch the video below or click HERE to see it on YouTube.

In addition to using the 6x6 paper pad, I also used 16 sheets of  8 1/2" x 11" and 10 sheets of  12" x 12" solid colored cardstock.

Black - Recollections value pack
Meadow Green - Coredinations
Yellow - Coredinations
Fuchsia Fizz - Coredinations

Here are close up pictures of the cards I made, including sketches and measurements. Operation Write Home sketches are the only ones that already provide measurements. For all the other sketches, I simply figure the measurements out on my own, for what works for me. All of my cards are A2 size. Go HERE to see my video explaining how I determine card sketch measurements. All cards are made using Pink & Main's Beach Babe 6x6 paper pad.

Freedom isn't Free

Happy Memorial Day! While we all enjoy our extra day to relax or spend with family, let's not forget the real meaning of today. Remember those that have sacrificed their lives for our freedoms. And say thank you to all who have served and are still serving our country. I am truly grateful and pray God will protect you and your families. Thank you!

My Mind's Eye - Hey Mister - 40 cards from one 6x6 paper pad

As much as I've been enjoying all the lovely pink and floral paper collections, I decided it was time to use a masculine 6x6 paper pad. It was challenging finding one that wasn't kiddish and would still work well for the cards I need. I found the Hey Mister collection from My Mind's Eye and knew it would be perfect.
I make cards for a local retirement home and include uplifting messages inside each one. I drop off around 30 cards every month and more for specific holidays so that every resident will receive a card. For Father's Day, the retirement home will need 40 cards. I used my 6x6 Paper Pad Tutorial and one paper pad to make 40 Father's Day cards.

Because it takes many hours to use up a 6x6 paper pad, this video has been sped up 7 times. The real time recording was just over 5 hours, not including any of my planning, prep, or die cutting time. Watch the video below or click HERE to see it on YouTube.

In addition to using the 6x6 paper pad, I also used 13 sheets of  8 1/2" x 11" and 16 sheets of  12" x 12" solid colored cardstock.

I've received several requests to list the cardstock colors. I use a variety of different brands and usually don't know the name of the color. But I will list the colors I do have the info.

Charcoal cardstock - Coredinations
Raspberry Cordial cardstock - Coredinations
Black cardstock - Recollections
All other cardstock - unknown

Here are close up pictures of the cards I made, including sketches and measurements. Operation Write Home sketches are the only ones that already provide measurements.
