Operation Write Home sketch #229

When I get down to just small scraps from a 6x6 paper pad, I look for a sketch that will really help utilize those few scraps. I love sketches where I can feature several different pattern papers from the 6x6 onto one card. This sketch from Operation Write Home was perfect for that. (Plus, the measurements are already provided.)

Paper - Reverse Confetti - True Love collection
Stamp - Reverse Confetti
Stitched circle die cut - My Favorite Things
Scalloped circle die cut - Spellbinders
Scalloped border die cut - My Favorite Things
Flower die cut - My Favorite Things
Ink - Reverse Confetti
Pearl pen - Viva Decor
Wink of Stella glitter pen

Thanks for visiting my blog today!

  1. Great sketch to use some scraps, without looking like you're using scraps! I hope you have videoed this 6x6--can't wait to see you in action!

    1. Thank you, Jennifer! As much as I love using OWH sketch #154, I've been trying to find some other sketches that will work well for the final 6x6 cards. With summer activities and then getting the kiddos ready to head back to school, I didn't actually record the 6x6 process with this collection. But, I did just finish recording a different 6x6 paper pad. Now to start editing.

  2. Great card! I wanted to share that I made a bunch (not a full set as I had already used some of the 6x6 Doodlebug fall pad) of cards following your tutorial. I gave one to a friend (who can be picky about cards) and it was quite satisfying to see that she really liked the card I gave her. Thank you so much for inspiring me (and I'm sure others) to get the most out of these pads. I really appreciate all your time and effort to share what you are creating. :)

    1. Thank you for your kind words, Jeanne! I really appreciate it! Isn't it so fun to turn 6x6 paper pads into pretty cards? I'm so happy your friend liked the card you made for her. Handmade cards are always so special, especially when you can bless someone else with them. I'm glad I can provide some inspiration for you. Have a wonderful day!
