Reverse Confetti's Very Merry - Part One

I figured it was time to start another video using my 6x6 Paper Pad Tutorial. Although, all kinds of technical difficulties popped up when I was ready to start recording. But thanks to my husband, who is very handy with computers, the recording went very smoothly. I've had quite a few requests for another Christmas video, plus I've been needing to get started on my own Christmas cards.

I decided to try a new brand of 6x6 paper. It's called Very Merry and it's from Reverse Confetti. I've used their stamps and die cuts for quite a while and love the quality. So when Reverse Confetti recently started making 6x6 paper pads, I just had to try one. The paper is a nice heavy weight with clean designs, and vivid colors.

The first sketch I started with is from Mojo Monday. I do not design card sketches, but I do figure out measurements for A2 size cards. Go HERE to see how I come up the measurements.

I made 2 cards using this sketch.

Faith Can Move Mountains

The latest Reverse Confetti new releases were so tempting, I just had to buy a few new goodies. The release was mostly Christmas, but some of the things I purchased can be used anytime of the year. (Yes, I did get some fun Christmas stuff too.)  I really liked this Pop Up Circle die cut. Although, if you use it on a standard A2 card, it does add almost 2 extra inches to the end. I don't mind though.

Cards in Envy - Purple & Green

Welcome to the newest card challenge from Cards in Envy. It's a color theme this time, Purple & Green. This would be super fun for a Halloween card. I chose to make a non-seasonal card, although the paper pad is Halloween themed. I used this darling dragon stamp set from My Favorite Things. Since Cards in Envy cards need to stay fairly flat so no extra postage is needed for mailing, I only used a little bit of dimension with Tombow Xtreme tabs. And instead of using thick and bulky brads, I simply die cut some small circles and added Glossy Accents giving them the look of enamel bling.

I hope you have time to play with us over at Cards in Envy. Just remember, cards need to be flat enough to mail, so no thicker than 1/4".

Freshly Made Sketches #258

I wasn't sure if I was going to use the vegetable paper in the fall Doodlebug 6x6 paper pad. But it seemed to work perfectly for the newest Freshly Made Sketches design. Especially paired with the fun Paper Smooches stamp set.

Trick or Treat

I decided to keep my final Halloween card fairly flat since I'll be mailing it. Even though I added several layers of matted circles, the card doesn't have any extra bulk that would require extra postage. I didn't have any brads that coordinated with the card colors, so I simply punched out 1/8" circles in matching cardstock. I then added Glossy Accents to the small circles to give them the look of brads.
