Authentique's Durable - Part Four

Welcome to the fourth post in my latest 6x6 Series. I'm using Authentique's Durable  6x6 paper pad to make cards. If you're new to my 6x6 Paper Pad Tutorial, check it out HERE.

I chose a square sketch from i(heart) sketches and simply figured out measurements for an A2 size card.

I made 5 cards using this sketch.

God Bless You for Serving

Happy Memorial Day! While we all enjoy our extra day to relax or spend with family, let's not forget the real meaning of today. Remember those that have sacrificed their lives for our freedoms. And say thank you to all who have served and are still serving our country. I am truly grateful and pray God will protect you and your families. Thank you!

(By the way, the die cut stars are dark blue, even though they appear black in the picture.)

Authentique's Durable - Part One

I've noticed that I tend to buy 6x6 paper pads from only a few different companies. I definitely have my favorites. But once in a while, I go outside of my comfort zone and buy something different. For my most recent 6x6 Series, I selected a masculine paper collection from Authentique called Durable. I'm using my 6x6 Paper Pad Tutorial to make cards.

The first sketch I chose is from i(heart) sketches. I do not design sketches, but I do figure out measurements for A2 size cards.

I made 2 cards using this sketch.

Thanks Bunches

A friend recently invited me to a Salad-in-a-Jar party. All the guests brought a couple different salad ingredients and five quart-size mason jars. Everyone filled their jars with their choice of ingredients. At the end of the party, we all went home with a week's worth of fresh and healthy lunches. How perfect! Plus it was fun to try foods I wouldn't have ever thought to put in a salad.

Here's a picture of all our finished salads. Yummy!

This Paper Smooches stamp set came into mind when I was making a thank you card for my friend. I paper pieced the darling carrot and used some fun faux stitch die cuts.

I added some Wink of Stella glitter to the leaves of the carrot for just a little sparkle.

So Thankful for You

My daughter just LOVES giraffes. So she is the reason I purchased this cute MFT stamp set. I rarely color images for my cards. But I couldn't resist coloring a couple of these cute creatures with some colored pencils. I kept the card very simple with the animals as the focal point.

Happy Mother's Day

I am so honored to be the guest I-Teamer on the Words 2 Craft By blog. The challenge words this month are:

A mother is a person who seeing there are only four pieces of pie for five people, promptly announces she never did care for pie.
Tenneva Jordan

I decided to make a Mother's Day card for my mom. (She has already received it.) But the card challenge would be perfect for any love card to mothers. What mom wouldn't want to receive a handmade card just because?

When I saw the latest Reverse Confetti sketch, I knew it would be a fun sketch. I always enjoy playing with their sketches. I even pulled out this cute Reverse Confetti coffee cup set to use for the image and sentiment. Recently, I purchased the Mini MISTI to aid with stamp placement and stamping. And I have to say, it's pretty awesome.
