Cards in Envy - Just Purple card challenge

I really enjoyed this card design, so I decided to do another one. This time in purple, which isn't a color I use very often in card-making. But Cards in Envy's current challenge is Just Purple, so I pulled out my purple Brusho powder. For the background, I simply wet the paper and sprinked the Brusho powder on, letting it create a fun multi-colored design. Then for the chevron die cut, I mixed the powder into a solid purple and painted the die cut piece. I just love how it turned out!

Happy Birthday - with Brusho and Inka-Gold

A friend of mine recently celebrated her birthday. She's an amazing crafter, and always inspires me. Her favorite color is yellow. For her birthday card,  I decided to play with some pretty Brusho powders and Inka Gold. I just love the fun backgrounds one can create using Brusho. This was my first time trying the Inka Gold and I really like the added shimmer.

I decided to make a similar card using different colors. The black Brusho powder is my favorite one. I'm not sure who I'll give this card to yet, but there always seems to be another birthday coming up.

Doodlebug's Under the Sea 6x6 cards

With winter soon coming to an end, it was time to make some fun spring colored cards. I used Doodlebug's Under the Sea 6x6 paper pad and my 6x6 Paper Pad Tutorial to make 35 cards. The colors and designs in this paper collection are definitely more feminine, so it was fun to pull out lots of purple and pink cardstock.

I decided to turn on the camera again while I disappeared the 6x6 paper pad. The video is sped up 10 times. The real time was around 7 1/2 hours; not including die cutting time.

I used 19 sheets of 12" x 12" solid cardstock. Here are all the leftover scraps from the paper pad.

Here are the pictures of the cards I made, including sketches and measurements. Operation Write Home sketches are the only ones that already provide measurements. For all the other sketches, I simply figure the measurements out on my own, for what works for me. Go HERE to see my video explaining how I determine card sketch measurements. All cards are made using Doodlebug's Under the Sea 6x6 paper pad.
