Thankful Fall Leaves

Happy First Day of Autumn! It's definitely my favorite time of year. There hasn't been a whole lot of leaves changing colors here in Western Washington yet. But I've seen a few pops of color here  and there. I decided to try my hand at painting some die cut leaves. I think they turned out pretty good. I love these stitched leaf die cuts from Lawn Fawn.

Watercolor - Thanks so Very Much

My stash of Thank You cards has gotten quite low. So, I pulled out my watercolor paints and made an assortment of simple brush stroke backgrounds. Perfect for Thank You cards. My inspiration came from Amy Rohl's card.

Echo Park's Pirate's Life 6x6 cards

My 5-year old daughter has been a fan of pirates for a couple of years. She even dressed up as one for Halloween last year. So when I saw the Pirate's Life 6x6 by Echo Park, I knew it would be fun to use for my 6x6 Paper Pad Tutorial.  I made a total of 29 cards.

I also made another video while making the cards since lots of people seem to enjoy these videos.

Here are all the leftover scraps. When the pieces are smaller than 1 1/4", I generally don't use them anymore. Afterall, I still have lots and lots of 6x6 paper pads to use.

I have been asked several times how many sheets of cardstock I use on average for my tutorial. This can definitely vary depending on if I use solid cardstock verses patterned paper for the card background. I did keep track this time though and used a total of 22 sheets of cardstock, including the black for layering.

Here are the pictures of all the cards I made, including sketches and measurements. Operation Write Home sketches are the only ones that already provide measurements. For all the other sketches, I simply figure the measurements out on my own, for what works for me. Go HERE to see my video explaining how I determine card sketch measurements.
