Thankful Fall Leaves

Happy First Day of Autumn! It's definitely my favorite time of year. There hasn't been a whole lot of leaves changing colors here in Western Washington yet. But I've seen a few pops of color here  and there. I decided to try my hand at painting some die cut leaves. I think they turned out pretty good. I love these stitched leaf die cuts from Lawn Fawn.

Die cuts - Lawn Fawn
Stamp - Paper Smooches
Watercolor paints - Kuretake
Watercolor paper - Canson
Ink - Versafine
Pearl pen - Viva Decor

This card is perfect for the latest Cards in Envy Challenge - Colors of Fall. They always have fun challenges over there. But remember to keep the cards fairly flat.

Thanks for visiting my blog today!

  5. Great card and I too live in Western Washington. We are on the coast in Westport and there are no changing leaves as yet. It keeps getting cooler they will be changing soon. I love all your cards, but am having trouble following your 6x6 pads when it comes to what is left after you cut the backgrounds (the scraps) but have made several of the QWH #123 and love how the cards turned out.

    1. Thank you! My suggestion for when you are done with papers large enough for backgrounds is to use solid colored cardstock for the backgrounds instead. Then just look for sketches that have smaller elements that will work with your leftover scraps. OWH sketch #123 is awesome and I use it all the time.
