Watercolor Rainbow

I recently bought the Lawn Fawn rainbow die cut and wanted to try doing a watercolor card with it. I added two layers of paint to the rainbow to get more vivid colors. I love the bright and cheeriness of the card.

Figuring out measurements for a card sketch

A question that I am asked often, is how do I figure out the measurements from a card sketch that doesn't already include measurements. And though, I really do just eye ball them, I thought I'd make a video showing how I do it. Just remember, sketches are just a starting point. It's okay to alter the sketch to work for your own card.

paper - Carta Bella - Paris Girl
stamp - Lil Inker Designs
stitched circle die cut - Lil Inker Designs
heart die cuts - Lawn Fawn
brads - from stash
ink - Memento

Here are my measurements for Mojo Monday Sketch #409.

Monster Hugs

While my son was off at summer camp for the week, I mailed him this card. I know he's a little old for monsters, but these are just so cute. I kept the card nice and flat for ease of mailing.

Take Note...

I'm getting ready to do some more videos soon, but first I wanted to try some watercolor painting on this beautiful magnolia flower stamp from Ellen Hutson. I tried a few different color combinations and I think the red one is my absolute favorite one.
