I've had this stamp probably since it was first released and I rarely ever use it. Recently Sandy Allnock did a Triple Play on OWHtv using this stamp. So I decided to CASE her final card and add a few touches of my own to it.
I've had lots of fun playing with other techniques and styles lately, but I think it's time for me to cut into a new 6x6 paper pad. Keep an eye on my blog to see which paper I'll choose for my tutorial.
As much fun as I've been having using watercolors on the We Connect stamp set from Lil Inker Designs, I thought I'd try paper piecing all those circles. It was a lot of work to do, and I'm not sure if I'll be doing it again anytime soon. But I think the card turned out great.
I just received the new stamp set We Connect from Lil Inker Designs in the mail today. I got it inked up to use right away. All those circles are just perfect for my gold watercolors. And this card has LOTS of shimmer to it. I embossed the circles in black and clear embossing powder. Both turned out great, but I prefer the black.
I made some simple cards using the new 'Color Me Happy' stamp set from Reverse Confetti. I CASEd Jen del Muro's card and used patriotic colors. I love the clean look.
Sequins are fun to use, but for my cards being donated to Operation Write Home, I switched to paper sequins. Cards sent to our deployed service members need to really hold up and regular sequins tend to pop off of cards no matter what adhesive is used.
My older sister recently got a job as a lab technician. This is a huge change for her since she has worked as a cake decorator for over 20 years at different bakeries. I knew I wanted to use this stamp set from Paper Smooches to do a fun card for her. I even borrowed some Copic markers from a friend to color the image. (That's a huge thing for me, since I'm not a fan of coloring. Unless someone else does it, of course.)
