Happy first day of Fall! This is definitely my favorite time of year. The cooler weather means it's time for hot chai tea, soups and stews in the crockpot, sweaters and comfy blankets. And not to mention the beautiful colorful leaves. So to celebrate the start of the season, I made a fall card for the OWH Midmonth Throwdown challenge of Fall Colors.
Kids just grow way to fast. I can't believe my little boy just turned 12 years old today! Only one more year and I'll have a teenager in the house. Yikes! I was pondering what to use to make his card, since he's not a little kid anymore. He just loves to eat sushi, so I knew this Lawn Fawn set would be perfect.
This is only my third post for September. I guess I haven't been very busy making cards this month. I'm hoping I will find more time to get crafty soon. I did manage to make a card using the newest OWH sketch.
Today is my husband's birthday. Happy birthday! Here is the card I made for him. It's definitely on the thicker side with the extra layers, dimension, and star brad. Since I make most of my cards for Operation Write Home, I don't generally have thick cards. But sometimes, it's just fun to have some extra dimension.
