There are 2 pieces of this birch tree paper in the Lawn Fawn 6x6 I'm using. I kept setting it aside since I wasn't sure what to do with it. Then today, I remembered my grass die cut. I think the paper worked perfectly to create a little scene for these sweet paper pieced bears.
It's a color challenge for the OWH Midweek Throwdown this week. Pink and gray or black. Since there is absolutely no pink in the current 6x6 paper pad I'm working on, I had to choose some different papers. But, I always have some pink paper in my stash. Although, I try not to make too many pink cards since Operation Write Home really needs a wider variety of colors.
Here's another fun card I made using the super cute Lawn Fawn 6x6 paper. I used the newest sketch from Sketch Saturday. Love this sketch and I know I will be using it again and again. I've been really focusing on Miss You, Thank You, and Love cards for my Operation Write Home box since those are the most needed themes right now.
I've been super busy with this 6x6 paper pad by Lawn Fawn. I really, really, really like it. I know I haven't posted many cards I've made from it yet, but I will try to get a few more up on my blog this week. Today's card is based on the most recent OWH sketch. I know the papers are autumnish, so I will hold onto to them until it's time to send in fall cards to Operation Write Home.
Welcome to my stop in the Operation Write Home Memorial Day Weekend BlogHop. I hope you are all getting some great inspiration today. For my card, I used OWH sketch #169 and some cute patriotic Doodlebug paper.
This week's Midweek Throwdown on the OWH Stars & Stamps blog is to make both a masculine and a feminine birthday card. I love this idea and really should do it more often. Especially since OWH is usually short on masculine cards. I pulled out some papers from an old Becky Higgins Sweet baby kit. One side of each paper is boy, while the opposite side is girl. Perfect for this challenge. The sketch is by Retro Sketches, but I actually CASEd Thanh Vo's take on the sketch.
It's time to see cards featuring Things with Wings over at Cards in Envy. I absolutely love these fairy silhouette stamps I found at Lavinia Stamps, so I just had to use one for the second CIE challenge of May.
It's been over a month since I have been able to make a card. First, the water pipes over my craft room started leaking. So most of my craft stuff was either covered or removed from the room while my husband began replacing all of our pipes. (A few other tiny leaks were discovered once the ceiling was ripped apart.) And then I was out of town for 2 weeks helping out my sister and her family while she went through another chemo treatment. I'm home now. And although my husband hasn't finished all of the pipes yet, he made sure to get my craft room done before I got home. Yay! Crafty time for me today!
Hello and welcome to the first challenge of the month for Cards in Envy. With May upon us now, it's the perfect time to have a May Flowers challenge. I chose to use some bright and cheery colors to go along with the flowers on my card.
