Happy Thanksgiving! I'll be heading over to my parents' house today for dinner. But first, I wanted to make a card today. The Midweek Throwdown for OWH is a white on white color challenge. I love the elegant look of white cards, but I'll admit I don't make them very often. Since I"m still working on my personal Christmas cards, I used the current challenge to make another one. Please forgive the poor picture, the bling is clear not black. (It's hard to photograph a white card.)
Happy Thanksgiving! (Well, tomorrow anyway.) How about a new Flutter By Wednesday challenge? This week the theme is Thankful. And as always, you must include either a butterfly or fairy on your creation.
It's a beautiful, sunny day here in Washington. A little chilly, but the sun makes it all better. I've been enjoying looking at the blue sky while I made my card using OWH's 200th sketch. Even though it's well past the time to send holiday cards to Operation Write Home, I still need to make my own Christmas cards. So, that's another card done while doing the sketch challenge.
Welcome to the second card challenge for November over at Cards in Envy. The challenge is to create a card using elements that are made from punches or die cuts. I decided to create this cute little piggy using a few different die cuts.
Hello and a happy Sunday to you! I've finally started making my personal Christmas cards and decided to use the newest OWH sketch for a few. Overall, I kept my card pretty simple with some nice layers and cute little brads.
It's another fun challenge day over at Flutter By Wednesday. This week is an OPEN challenge. Anything goes as long as there is a butterfly or fairy on your card. Since I'm still just loving my new fairy stamps, I decided to use another one for my card this week. I even added some Stickles to her wings since this card will be for my niece's birthday and not Operation Write Home. (No glitter allowed on OWH cards.)

Thanks for visiting my blog today! I would love to have you play with us over at Flutter By Wednesday. If we get at least 50 entries this week, there will be prize!
I'm so happy that I found a little bit of time today to make a few cards. And I'm really liking this cute and bright boy paper. I need to always remember to make more boy cards, even though it's always so fun to make them pink and frilly. Here's my latest card using the newest Mojo Monday sketch.
It's time for another sketch over on the OWH Stars & Stamps blog. This is the first card from the new 6x6 paper pad I've started. I figured it was time to make a few more kids cards and this Doodlebug paper is perfect for boys.
The OWH Midweek Throwdown challenge is to make an AnyHero Holiday card and include a message inside for our deployed military. I haven't been quite in the Christmas card-making mood yet. But after making this card, I think I'm ready to start working on my own Christmas cards. Yay for inspiration! Here's my finished card, including the note to our heroes.
Happy Wednesday! It's time for another challenge over at Flutter By Wednesday. This week the challenge is to use brown on your card, along with either a butterfly or fairy. And for the first time ever, I'm using a fairy on my card. Since making the FBW design team, I figured I needed to start using some fairies. So I searched online for some fairy silhouette stamps to use since I don't color. I found some amazing ones at Lavinia Stamps in the UK. Here is my first card using one of their stamps.
Hello and welcome to the first card challenge of November for Cards in Envy. The challenge is to use a sentiment, poem, or quote as the main element on the card. I pulled out one of my favorite sentiment stamp sets by The Stamps of Life. It has some nice and big sentiments, perfect for this challenge.
It's Sunday, so that means a new sketch on the Operation Write Home blog. Only a few more weeks, and they will be at sketch #200. Wow! That's a lot of sketches! For my card today, I decided to do a little paper piecing on this cute carrot by Paper Smooches.
It's a new month and that means a new challenge by Our Daily Bread Designs over at Operation Write Home. The November challenge is for Valentines or Love cards, which is perfect because the deadline for Valentine's Day cards is December 31st. I generally stick to making love cards though, because that way they can be used anytime of year.
I'm getting down to just scraps of my Doodlebug 6x6 paper pad, but I had enough to make my card for the challenge.
